-Shooting for the Moon-

I have a fascination with the cycles of the Moon. While the sun is beautiful, the moon is breathtaking. It is constantly changing and those changes are visible to our eye.

December was our first and only Super Moon for 2017 and while I was not in a position to capture it rising above our skies…I was able to capture it. These images were taken with my D3S and my Quantary zoom lens…handheld and zoomed in to 400mm. I would highly recommend a tripod if you plan on shooting the moon extensively. (I do have one, I just happened to peek out the windown and see it shining high above. Remember: The moon is bright, so keep your ISO low.
